A stat in Planet Money podcast #893 stuck in my head: 6 percent of families account for two-thirds of all crimes committed. Why it’s obviously a daring inference from a small set of studies (detailed in the book In my father’s house), its lesson is rather strong and clear: Crime does spread across generations. It reminds me of another study which shows that the most wealthy families in Florence today were, well, already the most wealthy families centuries ago. Wealth does spread across generations.
What heritage do you want to give to your children and grandchildren?
On my side, I do not have much wealth. I just want to transfer Love. For life, for learning, for sharing. I am happy I seems to be on the right track 🙂
